Antique Japanese ‘haribako,’ Sewing Boxes, are charming and practical pieces of traditional craftsmanship. Despite its small size, the sewing box is ingeniously designed to contain all the essential tools and materials for sewing, such as needles, thread, thimbles, and scissors. Its compartments and drawers are thoughtfully arranged to maximise storage space, while maintaining a tidy and organized appearance.

Beyond its practical utility, the sewing box is also a testament to Japanese aesthetic sensibilities, featuring intricate decorations, delicate patterns, or understated elegance, which is a characteristic of traditional Japanese craftsmanship. Each sewing box is a unique work of art that adds a touch of beauty to its surroundings.

This Antique Japanese Haribako has a gorgeous facade of the drawers with Ash Tree. The unique wood grain gives an elegant view.

It is also attractive for the user-friendly design, such as the position of the top lid, and the size and arrangement of the drawers.

The top compartment is divided into three parts. There are 4 drawers of different sizes and widths. All of these were designed to fit for the different sewing tools.
